Welcome at DOKOŘÁN

Publishing house Dokořán was founded in the 2001 by Zdeněk Kárník and Marek Pečenka – publishers then with 10 years experience in non-fiction publishing.
Our non-fiction publications cover wide range of topics: from natural sciences (mathematics, physics, nature) to history, social sciences and arts, the common denominator being exploration of the impact of new ideas in all these fields on the present shape of the Western civilization.
Fiction lines cover various topics and genres. Most successful is the line of poetry "Mocca", the lines of modern novels and the commercial fiction take its shape.
Up to the January 2017 we have published more than 750 new books, of which almost one half are translations from English, French, German, Dutch, Italian, Spanish, Polish, Russian, Chinese, and Vietnamese languages.
